Starring Tomlin, Moreno, Field, Fonda, and Brady himself, the story follows the four women as they take a trip to Super Bowl LI in Houston, Texas. Written by Sarah Haskins and Emily Halpern - the screenwriting duo behind Olivia Wilde’s directorial debut, the award-winning Booksmart - 80 for Brady was inspired by a newspaper clipping from Boston about four dear friends who are the ultimate fans of Tom Brady, the winningest quarterback of the New England Patriots. “And I think that sensibility that was building on set came out on camera as well.” “That natural feeling of friendship and that dynamic between the cast and crew bled into the performances,” Marvin says.
